Shacks Bloom & Co. ("we," "us," or "Jackie") respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you use this site or work with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you submit an inquiry, we collect the information you provide, typically your name, email address, phone number (if given), event date, location, and any details about what you're planning. If you book, we keep records of the project, the quote, and any related correspondence.
When you visit the site, we collect limited analytics (pages viewed, device type, approximate location, referring source) through PostHog. On the inquiry page, we also capture a session replay (your interactions with the form) to help us improve how the form works. We do not view replays of any other page. You can opt out of analytics by enabling Do Not Track in your browser.
How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry and prepare a quote.
- To plan and deliver your event if you book.
- To send invoices or reminders related to your event.
- To improve the website and understand which pages are useful.
We do not sell your information. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly ask to be on a list.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services we use to run the business:
- Resend, to deliver email between you and Jackie.
- PostHog, for analytics and (on the inquiry page) session replay.
- Venmo and Zelle, when you pay for your event. Payment is handled by those providers; we do not see or store your bank or card details.
- Vercel, the hosting provider that serves this website.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We don't share your information with anyone else unless legally required.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, strictly for analytics and to remember basic preferences. We do not use cookies for advertising.
How long we keep it
Inquiry and event records are kept for as long as needed to run the business and meet tax or accounting requirements. Analytics data is retained according to PostHog's defaults.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you. Email jackie@shacksbloom.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time frame.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll note them more visibly.
